NES Health offers physicians a variety of exciting pathways for building their emergency medicine career. The integrated EM role is one of them, combining the duties of an emergency physician with those of a hospitalist to meet the cost and quality challenges faced by critical access hospitals.
In this unique hybrid position, you provide care for both emergency department patients as well as hospital inpatients. You may also oversee the care of patients admitted by local primary care providers (PCPs). This involves sharing reports and diagnoses with PCPs and consulting with them by phone, fax, or e-mail as needed to determine the most appropriate path of treatment.
