Medical Director Leadership

At NES Health, we’re passionate about strong leadership—particularly when it comes to the emergency department. When you partner with us for clinical outsourcing, our first priority is the recruitment of a world-class Medical Director, who is charged with establishing an enduring culture of achievement within your ED and driving both individual and collective success.

Your NES Health Medical Director is the one who sets the “vision” for the department, striving to create an environment in which professionals care for one another, learn from one another, and live their shared values. Under the guidance and mentorship of a Regional Medical Director, he or she:

  • Directly supervises and is responsible for emergency physicians’ clinical and administrative duties.
  • Encourages collaboration and teamwork among physicians, mid-levels, and ED staff, with a focus on maintaining high morale.
  • Oversees all medical administration, personnel, and activities in the emergency department.
  • Is tasked with ensuring the safe and ethical practice of emergency medicine within the ED.
  • Coordinates physician and mid-level provider scheduling.
  • Acts as a liaison with hospital administration and NES Health.
  • Engages as appropriate with hospital executive committees to represent the interests of the ED.
  • Is responsible for monitoring department and provider data using NES Health’s business intelligence systems and tools.

Infectious enthusiasm and tireless commitment: it’s what our Medical Directors bring to the job each and every day. More importantly, they bring accountability, with a sole purpose of ensuring your emergency department functions like a well-oiled machine. That means you can focus your time and energy on other areas of your hospital, knowing your ED is in the most capable of hands.
